Another One..

You Are Likely a Third Born

At your darkest moments, you feel vulnerable.
At work and school, you do best when you're comparing things.
When you love someone, you tend to like to please them.

In friendship, you are loyal to one person.
Your ideal careers are: sales, police officer, newspaper reporter, inventor, poet, and animal trainer.
You will leave your mark on the world with inventions, poetry, and inspiration.
Wow... I was really suprised when I saw the answer since I am the third born!! But I think the questions and answers make the predicting very specific. Eugene did it too and said it was most likely that he was an only child!

What are you?

You Are 40% Boyish and 60% Girlish

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch. Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes. You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them. You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

Ten Reasons...

So, I was thinking about why I would want to teach English in Japan for 1 year with Nova. And here are my 10 reasons (thus far), I will probably add more later on. :)

  1. I will learn to appreciate Canada and my family more. What better way to appreciate my own country than by going to another. I'm sure life will be very different over there I will miss alot of things that I take for granted here.
  2. Learn what its like to live on my own. Like REALLY on my own. In Waterloo, I'm still very close to home and can come back and act like a lazy slug but Japan...is an ocean away.
  3. Retarded Japanese Variety Shows - ALL THE TIME
  4. All the Japanese festivals... New Years, Sakura ... I want to see it all!
  5. Having what amounts to a year long vacation while working and getting to experience the Japanese culture 1st hand. It would be such a new and exciting experience: being able to use my cell phone on the subway, a super efficient transit system, vending machines galore, etc.
  6. Meeting tons of international people --> the other teachers that would be from Australia, U.S., U.K., New Zealand, etc.
  7. Teaching people English while meeting all the different types of students who can be anywhere between the ages of 2 to 80.
  8. The FOOD. Need I say more? The ramen stands, sashimi, icecream... everything :)
  9. The Misadventures of Roberta and Steph: Japan Edition w/ introduction of Julie as a regular 'cast member' :D
  10. I think just the experience will be something else. and I'm only really young once :D I think it would be great to do before I 'grow up' and have to work a 9-5 job for the rest of my life! :S

Seriously...

What is WRONG w/ me? I have a midterm tomorrow and I go google Campbell's soup products in Japan out of curiosity :S This is just not my week for studying or assignment doing.. :(

Roberta/Eugene --> aja aja fighting! we can do it...

Technically only one month of real classes left!! I don't know... I feel like i'm so distracted, and the procrastinations has increased so much... I think its cause its my last term. I just want to watch Japanese drama, sleep and eat... who needs school?

Oh yeah...

and I forgot...
Ever go in to the shower... and then turn off the water... only to hear the fire alarm going off? That has got to be one of the worst experiences ever...

Although, for some reason I didn't think there would be an actual fire... but I still hurried out!

Just when you think it can't get any worse...

Ok, so today was Thursday which means I had another dose of 3 hours of e-marketing. That's just fantastic. I actually read all the class material for this week, and she doesn't even go through it in detail like she usually does! (not that I'm complaining, cause its usually SUPER boring...but still! all that effort for nothing) We handed in some article review two weeks ago and the first thing she tells us is that on the whole 'they were not done very well' and then proceded to accuse our class of blatant plagirism and not knowing the difference between pro/con and strength/weakness. To normal people, that's pretty much the same thing unless you add more words in the sentance to differentiate them. :S Well, basically she told us our papers suck and that she had to bell curve them. Seriously, I think she's starting to figure out that everyone hates that class because she keeps trying to reassure us that everything she does is for us...so that we can learn in the future when we're in the real business world. AND she keeps treating us like we're in first year. This is our fourth year, the LAST year and she is making is the worst last term ever.

Her and the MIS lady are neck in neck in the race of who is the worst prof. How can you teach me e-marketing when you have dial up access? :S

This weekend is going to be super crazy, I have so many things due! and thing to mark :(

On a lighter note, I just found out today that my one and only final is on April 13th... 2 more months!! and then I will be done University. How scary is that??

Procrastination is key...

So I have a midterm tomorrow morning at 9:00am for my Management Information Systems course and really, what am I doing right now? blogging. Seriously, I can't handle this class, I hate it so much. I would probably be more inclined to study if I actually thought it mattered but knowing this lady, she will just end up pulling marks from our of no where. What's the point? Like my web assignment...still bitter about that!!!

Speaking of worst classes ever...E-business Marketing... just when you don't think it can get any worse, it does!! Not only is it a 7:00-10:00pm night class on Thursdays which is very crappy, but the prof sucks too! I know she is new and all but when I participated yesterday...her response to my comment was "Ya, ya, ya..." I thought she was going to say "whatever" after that. I felt that was so rude and I hate how she tells us that there never is a wrong answer but when you say something she'll be like "That's not what the answer she's looking for" or she flat out says "You're Wrong". I also love how she thinks that for cases we should look at what decision the business actually made and she would consider it the 'right' answer. I swear this class is so frustrating. I think I really dislike this term. Everyone of my profs keeps talking about Gordon McDougall, who I think is one of the best professors I ever have. Some even try to emulate his teaching style. It just makes me miss him even more. I guess I didn't appreciate him at the time, but looking back at last term, I actually learnt so much.

*sigh* back to studying... can't wait till I can finish watching Hana Yori Dango tomorrow!!!

roberta --> AJA AJA Fighting!!! (3 more months left!!)
